If the repair is covered under warranty, there is no cost to the user.

For repairs not covered under warranty, the customer may request an estimate prior to repair. If authorized by the customer, the repairs will proceed and upon completion the customer will be informed of the actual costs. Prior to releasing the tool for return-shipping, Makita will collect full payment for cost of repair and shipping fees.

*Item and/or package shipped in for service cannot exceed 50 lbs. and must not measure greater than 108" in length or 165" in length plus girth (L+2W+2H), otherwise it will need to be brought directly to a Makita Factory Service Centre. To locate the closest Factory Service Centre to you, please visit Here. Direct Repair is available to legal residents within the Canadian provinces (excluding some areas).
